1. Yes I tweet (probably more than I should)
2. My (personal) twitter name is DaveBartlett1 (no imagination) though I have a couple of other accounts too.
3. Primarily social networking, especially with people in the writing and blogging communities. Also use to ‘plug’ my own blog sites, and other peoples that I find interesting/entertaining. I make it a point NOT to use it for celebrity stalking as I don’t really worship at the celebrity shrine.
4. I use TweetDeck almost exclusively when at home, and Snaptu when I’m out (Can’t afford a proper smartphone)

I usually use twitter for catching up with colleagues in HE web, conferences, and also a bit of fun, current trends in web and technology. I mainly use tweetdeck for iPhone or Snaptu on a Nokia N86.

I also manage the twitter account where I work – http://twitter.com/hubsonline – Hull University Business School and we use hootsuite – we output several newsfeeds from our website and we also tweet occasionally about happenings and events at the school.

I’m also not a Tweetdeck fan, although, it does look good on the iPad. If you’re on a Mac, try Tweetie – simple and elegant!

1) I do tweet
2) My current twittername is gooddrfox
3) I use it for politics, football, social, networking, and work reasons
4) I update via the twitter web site, the Brizly website and by text message. For some reason, twitter won’t work on my phone. I tried Tweetdeck and it just wound up irritating me. I also use greasemonkey scripts for it.

I signed up to Twitter in 2007 but did not really use it until the end of 2008. It has been very important in helping me to connect with people I would never normally have managed to connect to including new clients, journalists and broadcasters.

I use a mix of clients to use it including Tweetdeck, DestroyTwitter and my current favourite, Hootsuite. I have just started using Ping.FM to join up all of my other social media accounts too.

2 – My personal twitter account is paulbrayford
3 – All sorts of stuff from banal to tweeting through conferences
4 – Tweetdeck, Twitter web site, and Twibble. Also push from Brightkite. Gave up on Facebook (fb2twitter)
